TD Summer Reading Club

Welcome to another year of summer reading! This year is sure to be more fun, more prizes and of course more reading than ever before! This year's theme is 'Around the World!'

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests, and abilities. The Club celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories, and inspires kids to explore the fun of reading their way. This is key to building a lifelong love of reading.

Visit any Pickering Public Library location to register for the reading club, and to receive a notebook and stickers to track your reading. In addition to reading, the children's team has a great line-up of programs that will keep you busy all summer long!

Celebrate the start of summer at the Pickering Public Library Summer Reading Block Party at Esplanade Park on Saturday, June 27 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. We’re kicking off all three Summer Reading Challenges with a joyful afternoon designed for readers of every age. Come enjoy live performances under the gazebo, explore hands-on activity stations, connect with community partners, and celebrate everything reading can be—fun, creative, and full of possibility. And yes… there will be cake. 🎂
